AOS was invited to display two of its autonomous Kelpie® vehicles at the recent launch of the new National Transport Research Organisation (NTRO).
This new organisaiton will replace the Australian Road Research Board (ARRB), now aiming to extend its expertise to cover all modes of transport across Australia and New Zealand.
To recognise a long association with AOS Group in the fields of vehicle autonomy and safety, NTRO was keen to show the development that had taken place between the Gen 2 and Gen 4 Kelpie® vehicles seen here.
Already sporting a brace of sensors, autonomy, way-finding and collision avoidance capabilities, the latest Gen 4 AG-Kelpie® has been fitted with weed detection and control equipment.
This very practical application of high-end technology is hoped to make a significant impact on the weed problem that exists across Australia.
Kelpie® is an advanced, autonomous, navigation system that can operate on any vehicle platform. The current generation of Kelpie® is an autonomous ground vehicle designed to work in difficult, multi-terrain environments. To learn more about this exciting ongoing project click here.
